The course then focuses on First Aid in details explaining its definition, management of in-flight medical emergencies & crew responsibilities, basic steps of first aid, chain of saving a life, patient assessment etc. The course also covers Unconsciousness, Life-Threatening Conditions such as Acute Heart Attack, Angina Pectoris, Choking, Shock etc. Bleeding, Trauma, Burns, Musculoskeletal Injuries, Eye,Ear & Nose Conditions, Physiology of Respiratory System, Poisoning, Communicable Diseases, Child Birth and Patient Lifting & Carrying Techniques are other very important topics which are discussed during the course.
