Course Information
This course is an excellent initial introduction and an equally excellent recurrent review of Noise Abatement procedures used by operators and pilots in their operations. This course includes the following information: The procedures recommended and required for both operators and aircrews. An expanded discussion of both Noise Abatement Departure Procedures 1 & 2, to include the differences and operational limitations of each departure procedure. A review of the Continuous Descent Approach or CDA to include the operational procedures for this descent and approach profile. The responsibilities of both operators and pilots that are required by ICAO rules. A discussion on the limited use of reverse thrust upon landing to minimize noise.
